Buying your very first guitar

Buying your first guitar should be a very simple thing to do thanx to the world of W.W.W.....

Why????

Well yeah of course you want your first guitar to be perfect and all but you have to understand that you are still a newbie and just started to learn to play it....
so to keep it simple the first time is the key...

Few factors that you need to consider:
1. Price
2. Value of money(quality)
3. Size (for kids it would be smaller)
4. Colour(not that important but then a pink guitar and a black guitar makes a lot of different to
my world)

So here is the step to buying your VERY first guitar:
1. Shop for your guitar at an established shop

2. Buying the best you can afford (Go for quality of the sound over how pretty the guitar is)

3. Basic consideration to see the quality of the guitar.
  • Play every note on the fretboard. Avoid guitars with excessive string buzzing as it is an indication of fret wear.
  • Check to see if the fretboard/neck is not warped. Look down the neck with one eye, if it is bent the intonation will be incorrect.
  • Ensure the action (distance between the bottom of the string and the top of the fret) at the 12th fret is no more than 0.2cm (1/12 inch). A high action on a guitar makes it very difficult to play. (See image below)
  • Test all the machine heads. Avoid guitars with loose tuners, as tuning stability will be severely compromised.
  • Plug the guitar into an amplifier to test the relative volumes of each string. If there are any major differences in volume, have the pickup heights adjusted accordingly.
  • Adjust the volume and tone controls as you play, ensure that they work and there isn’t any crackling in the sound.
  • When testing a guitar in a shop, make sure that the amplifier effects (or separate effects pedals) are turned off. This is so you can listen to the actual guitar tone, and not the enhanced version created by an effect.
What kinds of guitar are there?
Guitar Type Neck Strings Weight Size/

Semi-acoustic Narrow, similar to electric guitar Medium to heavy, although you can use a light set of strings. Jazz guitarists prefer heavier, thicker strings Light to intermediate Medium to large width of guitar can vary too/
normally
more expensive
Electric Narrow Light to medium, but can use heavy, thicker strings if you prefer to Often heavy, as the body is generally solid wood Small to medium, normally a lot narrower than the above types.

Musical Styles:
  • Alternative: any of the 4 basic types are suitable
  • Blues: any of the 4 basic types are suitable
  • Bluegrass: acoustic steel string, acoustic/electric
  • Classical: acoustic nylon string classic guitar
  • Country: acoustic steel string, acoustic/electric, or electric
  • Fingerstyle: acoustic, acoustic/electric, classic
  • Folk: acoustic, or acoustic/electric
  • Folk/Rock: any of the 4 basic types are suitable
  • Jazz: any of the 4 basic types are suitable
  • Ragtime: acoustic, acoustic/electric
  • Rock: usually played on an electric
  • Metal: electric
But the easiest thing to do is to ask your friends that are expert in guitar to buy one for you or better off ask your guitar teacher....
Just remember to point out a few criteria you want them to follow....
especially the colour of your very first guitar....

P.S.: Guitar rockz....haha eventhough i don't really know how to rock on my guitar YET.....

Proton our national car.....

On how to make it the next TOYOTA or even BMW.......
What do you think?

Don't you think that Proton going to be benefiting more if the government is to stop imposing high taxes to foreign car?
I think that It will be doing Proton wonder than it will crushed them in the end.

Why?
Basically due to the protection provided by the government, it has made Proton to be complacent.
The irony here is that organization should be complacent due to years of success and not years of slumped.

Yeah, you might think that proton is doing okay and not too bad by looking at the number of proton cars we see on the road.
Well do you think that the consumer will still consider buying the car if the high tax imposed is to be removed. Highly unlikely right?

This is when our Proton will be as competitive as other car maker to sell its car.
Relying on government alone to save them will eventually cost us(Malaysian) dearly.

Once everyone in the market have equal platform, it will create fair competition where better car will succeed and low quality car will be affected.
This constant healthy rivalry will make them ever changing and adapting to the current market and be better than the rest.
Constant benchmarking from the rest of other car maker will be beneficial.
Better strategy and cost & price structure will be adapted to be not only locally successful but also internationally.

Another good thing is that, this will make the consumer to be more powerful.
The more demanding the customer are, the better the outcome of the product due to satisfying the consumer needs.

It will only hurt Proton for the first few quarters but will help Proton in a longer terms.

Furthermore, don't you think that consumer rights is being protected.
Right to have choice and not depriving our rights and force us to consider car that are not worth its value.
There should be giving us value for our hard earned money.

For the government, they will not suffer because then the industry will be better thus higher tax paid.
As alternative the government can impose the high tax only to the HIGH END car maker like the Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and the like because this market segment will not be that price sensitive.
People that buy those cars will buy it regardless of its price since they have the money to do so.

P.S. : What I want to emphasized here is to give value to the public/society/tax payer money.

P.P.S : Proton should not provide low value car at a high price.

P.P.P.S : I'm just doing this to sharpen my analytical skill not politically motivated. And perhaps Proton will benefit from it.

Beckham >>>>>>>Herbalife.......

Well i'm not really gonna talk about Beckham.....huhu....
But I want to share about another item that I had tried and share my experience.....

So It should really be called "ITEM OF THE DAY"

>>>>>>>>>HERBALIFE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Yeah its a weight loss thingy.......
Of course it is a craze to be stick thin right.....
Huhu maybe not stick thin because it is not healthy..........
Just stay aware from being obese.....
You can know whether you are obese or not by calculating your BMI.....

So back to the product, i tried it for a few months and of course it works just in a matter of weeks......
The truth about this product is that it will only work if you follow the direction.....
It will need you to replace two of your meal whether breakfast, lunch or dinner with herbalife.....

At first of course it is hard to discipline yourself to not eat other thing but eventually your body get use to it......
After getting your desired weight you can just take it once a day.....

Truthfully this a product for those that have a high self discipline......
Not for the weak.......
and obviously not for me.....
that is why i stop taking it but just make sure that i have a balanced diet and of course enough exercise.......

Erm the price????
It is quite expensive here in Malaysia......
about RM500+ for a package......
i used to buy it from ebay seller because it is way way cheaper buying from them than to buy from other individual seller i've known thru other blogs......

Side effects????
I don't really know if it has any dangerous effect to our body......
you can check with your doctor just to be on the safe side.......
but it does has an effect of a weight loss.......huhu.....

P.S. : Hope this is helpful for those that want to try to lose weight.......all the best!!!!!!!!!!

Eyeliner anyone????????

Eyeliner, its a magical tool of beauty for girls n boys............
How to put it one fantastically.......
Here's how :

Basic look

This look calls for liquid or pencil eyeliner, a deep-hued eyeshadow and an eyeliner brush.

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the outside corner of the eye, stopping two-thirds of the way along the eyelid. Apply with short strokes, drawing the line into the lash line rather than above it. For a more dramatic look, make the outside line a bit thicker than the inside.

Step 2: Set liner with a deep eyeshadow. Dip eyeshadow brush into the shadow, then apply shadow over the eyeliner. This will set the eyeliner, which tends to rub off on eyelid.

Step 3: Apply eyeshadow to lower lashes. Using your eyeshadow brush, apply the deep-hued eyeshadow along the bottom lashes, from the outside in. Unless you have wide-set eyes, don't line the entire lower lid. Instead, stop halfway across. For a more natural look, don't dip the brush into the shadow again, instead, use the excess that's still on the brush for the lower lashes.

Step 4:Clean up any mistakes with a cotton swab.

Smoky eyes

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the inside corner of the eye outward. Draw strokes into the lash line. The middle of the line should be a bit thicker than the edges.

Step 2: Use a cotton swap (or your finger, if you're lazy like me) to "smudge" the liner.

Step 3: Dab an eyeshadow brush into a deep-hued eyeshadow and apply over the eyeliner to set the line. (Blow on the brush first to remove any excess shadow). Layering liner with a shadow is the secret to a perfect smoky eye.

Step 4: Blend shadow well, then follow with eyeshadow. According to the March 2006 issue of InStyle Magazine, with a smoky eye, "color should diffuse from rich and dark near the lashes to almost sheer as it extends to the crease."

The above information i got it from :
http://beauty.about.com/od/allaboutyoureyes/a/eyelinertips.htm

And there are other style of wearing your eyeliner in the article..............

P.S.: Have fun getting pretty gurl and guys(handsome)......

Migraine, its hurt!!!!!!

Q : What is migraine?
A : A migraine is a very painful type of headache.
People who get migraines often describe the pain as pulsing or
throbbing in one area of the head.
During migraines, people are very sensitive to light and sound.
They may also become nau
seated and vomit.

Now, why am i writing about it?
Well just to help those that have been suffering the same problem as me.
Yeah sadly i got it too.

So what triggers it?
Well there are many things that can trigger it to happen and its basically depend on individual.
For me it will be:
1. Not enough sleep
2. Not eating on time
3. Exposure to too much light
4. Loud sound or noise
5. Perfume of a certain kind
6. Coffee
7. Phenylalanine
8. Being too excited or too sad
9. And many other that i can't seem to recall

So how to cure it?
When i had it for the first time, I went straight to the doctor and got the medication.
Well the doctor gave a vitamin and a painkiller to help with the pain.
She also sa
id that i will need to upgrade my painkiller to a stronger one if i keep taking it whenever i have my migraine.

Since i don't want to be dependent on drugs, i search for other ways to cure the migraine.

My first attempt to cure it was by taking Lingzhi mushroom a chinese medication.
It is a famous traditional medication to heal migraine.
Well it did worked and reduced my migraine attack to about once a month.
But the not so good part about it, is that i have to take it on a consistent basis and it is an expensive medication.

So i try to find another alternative to heal my migraine in a cheaper yet safe and reliable way.

This is when i try Gamat Healin (the picture).
It ma
y not be suitable for those that is allergic to seafood because it is somewhat based from seafood thingy.
Its cheap and really works well.
I barely have my migraine attack( thank god) and the best part is i don't have to take it everyday after a while of taking it (2-3 months).

But the effect might defer depending on individual.
I just want to help by sharing my experience tackling this issue.
Who knows maybe Gamat Healin is your answer for your migraine.

P.S. : Good luck in trying!!!!

UiTM to open 10% to Non-Bumis??????

Erm this might be a sensitive issue for some....
BUT i have NO SUCH INTENTION of poking them with this issue...
but then again i feel a strong urge to spill my 2 centz in this issue n hopefully get u guys out there to give me ur 20 centz....
well i'm a UiTM student as well, ok an "ex" to be exact...
But i'm not able to see eye to eye with the 10,000 or so of my fellow friends that objected to it...
I think why not....

I noticed that there are a lot of international student in UiTM....
aren't they non-bumis????
erm......I dont know either what are their status in UiTM....

Yeah i know the history of UiTM was set up to help malays and they did a pretty GOOD job in it...

So back to why I agree with it...
it is not because i'm the opposition supporter or their DIE-HARD fan but because i love every single MALAYSIAN in malaysia no matter what race you are....
it does not matter...
Love me back ok....
everyone deserve the rights of an education n to benefit from it...
Let the best man win....huhu....

Furthermore we shouldn't be fighting for who gets to go to university n who don't....
All of us should have the opportunity to get an education....
Man, its good for our beloved country if every single one of us is educated...
SO......we should be fighting for MORE public varsities to be open....
Lets collect enough funds to open a few public varsities and bring all the top lecturers from all over the world so that we Malaysian can have a piece of their knowledge to build our country to be the richest and the most wonderful country in the world....
then our varsities will be the top one in the world n foreign students might want to come here n study in our varsities (foreign money inflow to our country is good for our economy)....
its very beneficial for all of us rite????
no war,no pollution, no street demonstration( its not good for our economy) n many other awesome stuff.....
am i rite????

But you know being a true malaysian, I want us all to really UNITE....
no more makan dalam for every single race in Malaysia....
then any obstacle that come, we all will be able to fight it together civilisedly....
thats when every single malaysian out there will really love malaysia n love to be malaysian.....
N when you shower others with love, they will shower us back with love.....

there is no such thing as malay being not competitive enough like other race.....
its an individual thingy, nothing to be associated with what race u r.....

These are few quotes i think that we should really consider....
1) Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you
2) Do unto others as you would have others do unto you
3) Regard your neighbor's gain as your own gain, and your neighbor's loss as your own loss

P.S: But then again i might be wrong.....i'm just a human being maah....
So i've given my 2 centz....what about ur 20 centz....

P.S.S: I have no intention what so ever to make this post to be about politics..it is not, i repeat ( i have reread it over n over again to make sure of it...i dont want to be in trouble you know)......just trying to have a better Malaysia.....

To begin N never stop...

Just a short message to the world of blogging.
I'm here stay....huuuhu....
Wait for my very first post...
anyway i want to start blogging coz i wanna know whether other people share the same view as moi....
And if not.....spill it...i n the world want to hear ur 20 centz....

P.S. : Every comment is very much welcome....but of course no post no comment rite...
huhu at last i'm a QUALLIFIED BLOGGER.....
