Buying your very first guitar

Buying your first guitar should be a very simple thing to do thanx to the world of W.W.W.....

Why????

Well yeah of course you want your first guitar to be perfect and all but you have to understand that you are still a newbie and just started to learn to play it....
so to keep it simple the first time is the key...

Few factors that you need to consider:
1. Price
2. Value of money(quality)
3. Size (for kids it would be smaller)
4. Colour(not that important but then a pink guitar and a black guitar makes a lot of different to
my world)

So here is the step to buying your VERY first guitar:
1. Shop for your guitar at an established shop

2. Buying the best you can afford (Go for quality of the sound over how pretty the guitar is)

3. Basic consideration to see the quality of the guitar.
  • Play every note on the fretboard. Avoid guitars with excessive string buzzing as it is an indication of fret wear.
  • Check to see if the fretboard/neck is not warped. Look down the neck with one eye, if it is bent the intonation will be incorrect.
  • Ensure the action (distance between the bottom of the string and the top of the fret) at the 12th fret is no more than 0.2cm (1/12 inch). A high action on a guitar makes it very difficult to play. (See image below)
  • Test all the machine heads. Avoid guitars with loose tuners, as tuning stability will be severely compromised.
  • Plug the guitar into an amplifier to test the relative volumes of each string. If there are any major differences in volume, have the pickup heights adjusted accordingly.
  • Adjust the volume and tone controls as you play, ensure that they work and there isn’t any crackling in the sound.
  • When testing a guitar in a shop, make sure that the amplifier effects (or separate effects pedals) are turned off. This is so you can listen to the actual guitar tone, and not the enhanced version created by an effect.
What kinds of guitar are there?

Musical Styles:
  • Alternative: any of the 4 basic types are suitable
  • Blues: any of the 4 basic types are suitable
  • Bluegrass: acoustic steel string, acoustic/electric
  • Classical: acoustic nylon string classic guitar
  • Country: acoustic steel string, acoustic/electric, or electric

  • Metal: electric
But the easiest thing to do is to ask your friends that are expert in guitar to buy one for you or better off ask your guitar teacher....
Just remember to point out a few criteria you want them to follow....
especially the colour of your very first guitar....

P.S.: Guitar rockz....haha eventhough i don't really know how to rock on my guitar YET.....

Proton our national car.....

On how to make it the next TOYOTA or even BMW.......
What do you think?

Don't you think that Proton going to be benefiting more if the government is to stop imposing high taxes to foreign car?
I think that It will be doing Proton wonder than it will crushed them in the end.

Why?
Basically due to the protection provided by the government, it has made Proton to be complacent.
The irony here is that organization should be complacent due to years of success and not years of slumped.

Yeah, you might think that proton is doing okay and not too bad by looking at the number of proton cars we see on the road.
Well do you think that the consumer will still consider buying the car if the high tax imposed is to be removed. Highly unlikely right?

This is when our Proton will be as competitive as other car maker to sell its car.
Relying on government alone to save them will eventually cost us(Malaysian) dearly.

Once everyone in the market have equal platform, it will create fair competition where better car will succeed and low quality car will be affected.
This constant healthy rivalry will make them ever changing and adapting to the current market and be better than the rest.
Constant benchmarking from the rest of other car maker will be beneficial.
Better strategy and cost & price structure will be adapted to be not only locally successful but also internationally.

Another good thing is that, this will make the consumer to be more powerful.
The more demanding the customer are, the better the outcome of the product due to satisfying the consumer needs.

It will only hurt Proton for the first few quarters but will help Proton in a longer terms.

Furthermore, don't you think that consumer rights is being protected.
Right to have choice and not depriving our rights and force us to consider car that are not worth its value.
There should be giving us value for our hard earned money.

For the government, they will not suffer because then the industry will be better thus higher tax paid.
As alternative the government can impose the high tax only to the HIGH END car maker like the Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and the like because this market segment will not be that price sensitive.
People that buy those cars will buy it regardless of its price since they have the money to do so.

P.S. : What I want to emphasized here is to give value to the public/society/tax payer money.

P.P.S : Proton should not provide low value car at a high price.

P.P.P.S : I'm just doing this to sharpen my analytical skill not politically motivated. And perhaps Proton will benefit from it.

Beckham >>>>>>>Herbalife.......

Well i'm not really gonna talk about Beckham.....huhu....
But I want to share about another item that I had tried and share my experience.....

So It should really be called "ITEM OF THE DAY"

>>>>>>>>>HERBALIFE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Yeah its a weight loss thingy.......
Of course it is a craze to be stick thin right.....
Huhu maybe not stick thin because it is not healthy..........
Just stay aware from being obese.....
You can know whether you are obese or not by calculating your BMI.....

So back to the product, i tried it for a few months and of course it works just in a matter of weeks......
The truth about this product is that it will only work if you follow the direction.....
It will need you to replace two of your meal whether breakfast, lunch or dinner with herbalife.....

At first of course it is hard to discipline yourself to not eat other thing but eventually your body get use to it......
After getting your desired weight you can just take it once a day.....

Truthfully this a product for those that have a high self discipline......
Not for the weak.......
and obviously not for me.....
that is why i stop taking it but just make sure that i have a balanced diet and of course enough exercise.......

Erm the price????
It is quite expensive here in Malaysia......
about RM500+ for a package......
i used to buy it from ebay seller because it is way way cheaper buying from them than to buy from other individual seller i've known thru other blogs......

Side effects????
I don't really know if it has any dangerous effect to our body......
you can check with your doctor just to be on the safe side.......
but it does has an effect of a weight loss.......huhu.....

P.S. : Hope this is helpful for those that want to try to lose weight.......all the best!!!!!!!!!!

Eyeliner anyone????????

Eyeliner, its a magical tool of beauty for girls n boys............
How to put it one fantastically.......
Here's how :

Basic look

This look calls for liquid or pencil eyeliner, a deep-hued eyeshadow and an eyeliner brush.

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the outside corner of the eye, stopping two-thirds of the way along the eyelid. Apply with short strokes, drawing the line into the lash line rather than above it. For a more dramatic look, make the outside line a bit thicker than the inside.

Step 2: Set liner with a deep eyeshadow. Dip eyeshadow brush into the shadow, then apply shadow over the eyeliner. This will set the eyeliner, which tends to rub off on eyelid.

Step 3: Apply eyeshadow to lower lashes. Using your eyeshadow brush, apply the deep-hued eyeshadow along the bottom lashes, from the outside in. Unless you have wide-set eyes, don't line the entire lower lid. Instead, stop halfway across. For a more natural look, don't dip the brush into the shadow again, instead, use the excess that's still on the brush for the lower lashes.

Step 4:Clean up any mistakes with a cotton swab.

Smoky eyes

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the inside corner of the eye outward. Draw strokes into the lash line. The middle of the line should be a bit thicker than the edges.

Step 2: Use a cotton swap (or your finger, if you're lazy like me) to "smudge" the liner.

Step 3: Dab an eyeshadow brush into a deep-hued eyeshadow and apply over the eyeliner to set the line. (Blow on the brush first to remove any excess shadow). Layering liner with a shadow is the secret to a perfect smoky eye.

Step 4: Blend shadow well, then follow with eyeshadow. According to the March 2006 issue of InStyle Magazine, with a smoky eye, "color should diffuse from rich and dark near the lashes to almost sheer as it extends to the crease."

The above information i got it from :

And there are other style of wearing your eyeliner in the article..............

P.S.: Have fun getting pretty gurl and guys(handsome)......
